From Brick: "Well the time has come to let everyone know
the big news about the new album. It will be a double album. We have over 130 minutes of music, and figure that since
our fans have been waiting this long, we might as well reward their patience with a double album. It looks like we will be
entering the studio to begin recording drums and bass at the end of May, and we'll do guitars, vocals, mixing, and mastering in June.
It should be out sometime in July. We've already begun recording some keyboards."

The band has been asked by Club Vegas in Salt Lake to open for Chicago Mike.
The band plans on playing all new music, so come to the show and hear material from the upcoming album. Speaking of the new album, the band is
in final rehearsal mode before they hit the studio. Hourglass will soon begin recording the click track to use in the studio, and will
also begin recording most of the keyboard tracks. |
| 17-Oct-2007 |
The latest on the new album from Brick: "At last the melodies for all the songs
are done. I have all my guitar solos written except for one. It looks like we'll be recording the drums, bass guitar, and possibly some
grand piano parts at a studio in Alpine, Utah that is a really nice place. Tony Korologos has agreed to engineer and co-produce the new album.
The only hint I'll give everyone is that the new album is going to be LONG. We have lots of music for our fans who have been
waiting for so long. Also, look for some Hourglass shows in the Salt Lake City area to be happening within the next two or three months." |

Many songs for the new album
are nearing completion musically, and the lyrics
are done for all but the epic song. The band
plan on starting the process of writing melodies
this week. Some of the song titles include "Pawn
2", "38th Floor", "On the
Brink", and "Facade".

| 22-Sep-2005 |
Progress continues on the new
album. Brick, John, Eric, and Sam are busy writing
the music. So far this album seems to be a little
on the heavier side than anything the band has
done. Having Sam in the band has added a whole
new element that was never there before. Hourglass
now has some groove in the rhythm section. It
looks like there are going to be some long songs
once again. The band also plans to include an
instrumental song on this album.
