Eric Robertson:
"I'm one excited dude to be back
in the band. All the players have improved in skill
and in songwriting. When I got home from Pennsylvania
the next album was almost all written. I'm working on
my parts and trying to get back into the flow. The new
music is so good and will be loved by all prog rock
lovers. I have high hopes and expectations for us."
Clark Woolstenhulme:
"I have to admit I was hesitant
when Brick first called me to come audition as the bass
player for Hourglass. I wasn't terribly familiar with
the progressive rock genre, at least not by name. Sure,
I was a fan of Rush and Kansas and a few others, but
I had never studied and performed it like I had with
rock, pop, and jazz. After speaking with him at length
on the phone and learning that I was actually good friends
with former Hourglass bassist Sam Doty, I decided (or
rather, Brick convinced me!) to come give it a try.
"It didn't take long for me to
decide that I really dug the music, especially what
Brick has written for the new album. It also didn't
take too long for Brick and John to agree that I would
be a good fit for the band, so we made it official.
Eric and Cody welcomed me to the band, and for several
weeks now I've been shedding my hands into fatigue to
keep up with these great musicians! I've quit two other
bands and put off plans for an MBA to devote proper
time to Hourglass, and I have no doubt that my and the
other members' dedication will present itself as a fantastic
third album and some incredible live shows!"
